Thanks to Peggy and Stephanie! my move In was worry free since I was able to use the truck for free, we were even able to use it on a Saturday! They are super friendly and the unit we got was really clean. We read the reviews on many storage places before renting here and we know we chose the right place.

I don't usually post reviews but this one is worthy of my time. My husband and I are selling our house and decide yesterday that we would move some items into storage while the house was on the market. I called to see if they A) had a medium size unit available and B) if a moving truck was available. I was told over the phone by Laurie that yes, they were both available. All at the same time, she was doing her best to send me to the location on Belair Road. As she felt that she knew what was best for me. Within 20 minutes of the phone call, my husband and I went to the Evans location to rent the storage and secure the truck. As we were filling out the paperwork, the price that was quoted over the phone was inconsistent with the fees that kept getting added on. The $71/month unit quickly started to become a $100/month unit with all the extra fees. $2.50 to mail me a monthly statement, $7/month for mandatory insurance, etc, etc. First of all, insurance on my belongings should be optional. Which I found to be true at Public Storage on Riverwatch. As Stephanie (assistant manager) made her way into the conversation, she quickly started getting defensive and very unhelpful about all the additional fees. At this point, we were still willing to proceed until Stephanie made it very clear that Laurie again did not give us accurate information about the availability of the truck. And guess what, they were not willing to help us find a truck, even though they pride themselves on having trucks for move in. Which bt the way, using the truck is not free as they say. MORE fees are added for the truck use when you go over 20 miles. I am so thankful that we walked out and rented from Public Storage. Same unit was much less and I was able to rent a small uhaul for $29.95. FYI, the cute little sign hanging on the wall about the Evans store being the top producer in revenue was no surprise after finding out about all the additional fees. I would not recommend renting from this company. You have a lot more options in Augusta.
Clean reasonable prices
I have used many storage facilities over the years but Evans Self Storage is hands down, the BEST!!! The ladies are friendly, always up-beat and they are looking out for their customers. I call with a question and hang up feeling like I was treated like a long time friend. Thanks for a job well done!!
