I take my dog here a lot and love this place. Restaurants are near by, kroger is right next to it, the large park fo kids to play, large grass area for all family of different ages to enjoy even with your pet, water fountain where kids can play in the summer. A lot of events through out the year.
It's nice but really small and always crowded. Good for small dogs, not enough room to run for medium and up. Upside is it's in a public park so you can go use the public bathrooms if you need to.
The Dog Park inside Evans Town Center Park continues to evolve. There are now two areas -- one for small dogs, and a larger one for larger dogs. Chipper loves going there almost every day. The "regulars" are all nice and well behaved -- talking about the owners. A nice place.
A great variety of dogs come out to this park. Downside is the lame small dog area. I just stand around as there is NO seating and no one brings their dogs there so my dogs have to go to large dog area to even play with anyone. I hate that people bring their kids and leave them UNATTENDED. They PICK UP my small dogs and when asked to leave them alone they say "but your dog likes it!" No. No they don't. Parents TEACH YOUR KID DOGGY MANNERS. Also I've seen problem dogs start fights and owners are no where to be found. The space could use more grass and trees but I love the dogs that people bring there the most.
My wife and I are new to the area and wanted to take our dog to a local dog park. We weren't expecting dirty sand and mulch to be considered a "dog park". There were dirty used up water bowls laying around, no one cared to clean up the area. Just dirty, very disappointed in Evans community so far.
