Michael helped us greatly with handling the reptiles. A friend of mine was curious about adopting bearded dragons, and the handler was happy to let her handle one. He was very informative about what was required to care for the various reptiles she was interested in, including their 'level' of care needed and what to expect from owning them. We were very satisfied by his knowledge on the topic, and because of this we intend to return to this specific store for future adoption.
I brought my 7 month old Pomeranian to get her nails clipped and rounded as well as a full flea and tick treatment for we live near the woods and she loves grass. They returned her to us clean and conditioned but her nails weren’t rounded so she scratches even with very little pressure. She had cute little bows on her hair that left her hair matted and tangle. Now we have to cut a chunk of fur out from behind her ear. Besides that, everything else was swell.
Petco always has amazing staff, they are always very friendly and full of information. The negative side is that all the reptile tanks are filthy and left with feces in the tanks. none of the reptiles look healthy and it's quit sad. Also prices are way to much. I have been to another pet store in my town and they have wonderful prices. It's disappointing to walk in and see high prices and unhealthy animals/reptiles. Someone needs to clean the store and update the computers
There was a worker there named Anna that treated us poorly. My little brother wanted to buy one little fish. We picked a good size tank for one fish, a bag of rocks, and some decor for the tank and he was going to buy it all with his own money. It took us 30 mins just to get an accosiate to help us. She said that our tank was too small which the tank was not at all for one fish and if we were to get a bigger tank it would be about 50+ dollars. Last time we were there to get a fish she said the same thing. So we wanted to get a hermit crab but again she was talking about how the tank was too small but for one crab the tank was more than enough room. We didn't listen to her though and still got the hermit crab. But, this time the way that she treated us we left and went to Walmart which gave us a lot more helpful advice on the right size tank and everything. I still love the store but not the workers so much. Please work on getting better ones.
Upon entering the store I saw an associate name Zack (I think that was his name) walking towards the door. I asked him was he off the clock and he said yes how can I help you? I told him he didn't have to help me if he was off and he said he didn't mind. He assisted me for about 5 minutes helping me find dog shampoo. I told him this was an great example of excellent customer service. I told him I would leave him a review for management to see. I also spoke to Micheal in the fish department. He noticed my dog was panting and asked if it was ok for her to have a drink of water. He got a bowl of water and gave it to my dog. I am so trilled that this place has so many people that cares about animals. The young lady at the front register named Chelsea was very helpful as well. This is such a great location!!!
